Six teams of Klamath Community College students and alumni will be facing off at the annual KCC Badger Venture competition on campus Thursday, April 25 from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. in Building 7.
The Badger Venture Competition is a business concept and innovation pitch competition designed to inspire the next generation of Klamath Basin entrepreneurs.
The community is invited to watch the teams present their innovative business concepts or prototypes to a team of three judges. The judges will evaluate the team’s pitch based on criteria such as originality, feasibility and market potential.
The event is coordinated by the Small Business Development Center of KCC and is open to the public.
The judges are: Klamath County Commissioner Kelly Minty; Business Finance Officer for Business Oregon John Stanaland; and Wilsonart General Manager Scott Siracusa.
Previous Winners include Wyatt Paul of Pourhorse Mobile Cantina & Libations; Paul Monteith of Tayas Yawks Fab Shop; and Charisse Wells who displayed a wrench coupler.
This is a prime opportunity to see what KCC business students can accomplish and a good time for the Klamath Falls business community to network with entrepreneurs, faculty and staff.
This year’s competitors are:
• Posy Wall – Gabrielle Martin
• Project Paradigm – Diego Diaz
• Noble Thunder – Zane Hancock and Seth Wright
• Dragons Roost – Rheanna Atkinson
• Overland Adventures – Kevin Tiefenback and Jeffry Vinson
• Blue Rose Sweets & Treats – Tana Moore
