Klamath Art Gallery Presents: “Dual Perspectives”

This show and sale will begin with the opening reception on Sunday July 7th from Noon to 4. You can meet both the artists Debra Brunold and Jeanie Lovitt while enjoying snacks and viewing their art.  Here is a little bit about each artist.

Debra Brunold, is an artist based in Southern Oregon, she began working in oils in 1985. After years of dabbling and no time to commit to her art, she put the brushes away. However, when Debra retired in 2017, her family and friends encouraged her to return to the easel. With renewed focus she began working with acrylics and oils. Debra is inspired by the stunning beauty of the West, and she began to create landscapes, seascapes, and florals. With art books and the generosity of online tutorials, Debra was provided with opportunities to explore and grow. Her next adventures will be in abstracts and multi-media, her journey continues…

Jeanie Lovitt, has had several decades of experience as an artist. She has been in juried exhibits, taught classes, and does a wide range of different mediums such as, watercolors, gouache, pastels, digital art, oils, acrylics and mixed media. Watercolor remains her favorite.  As an artist, she worked hard to achieve a realistic look, full of rich colors and textures. However, she realized that she didn’t wish to make things too realistic or like a photograph.    Jeanie envisions a dreamy painting that will spark your imagination. When the viewers see her landscape painting, she hopes that they will be transported to another place. She hopes that they will be able to smell the earth, feel the water, as if they are walking around within the painting.  When she paints animals, she wants them to look charming with a twinkle of mischief in their soulful eyes.  In the late 80’s Jeanie moved to Southern Oregon; it is where she gets her inspiration. No matter where she is she always has her painting supplies on hand to capture the moment. Jeanie uses professional grade art supplies to ensure her artwork is preserved for years to come.
