REDDING, Calif. – Two first half goals gave Oregon Tech a lead and keeper Sydni Nakamura made five saves to complete a clean sheet, as the Lady Owls ran their win streak to three with a 2-0 victory at Simpson University.

OIT (4-1-1) remained unbeaten against the Redhawks in program history, running their streak to 26 (24-0-2) – as Tech closed out non-league play on a high note.

The duo of Kiana Jacobson and Caitlyn Price scored for the second-straight match, with the Owls posting a 14-7 edge in total shots and a 5-3 corner kick advantage.

The Owls opened the scoring in the ninth minute – converting off a set piece. Jaylee Curran played a 35-yard free kick into the 6-yard box, finding the head of Jacobson, who touched home her team-leading fourth goal of the year.

The lead doubled in the 37th minute, as Sydney Soskis touched a long ball down the left sideline to the charging Price, who unloaded a rocket from 20-yards out into the top left corner of the net.

Nakamura did the rest, making three second half saves in the win.

OIT opens up the Cascade Conference schedule next weekend, hosting Warner Pacific on Friday and Multnomah on Saturday.
