Free Days at the Klamath County Museum

Admission fees will be waived at the Klamath County Museum on Thursday and Friday, June 6-7, as part of the museum’s effort to provide free access at various times through the year.
In commemoration of the D-Day invasion of Europe on June 6, 1944, the museum will waive fees on Thursday. Three men from Klamath Falls fell during the invasion that day.
Fees will also be waived Friday as part of the museum’s monthly Free First Friday program.
A presentation at noon Friday will feature a collection of rodeo photos was recently cataloged into the museum’s collection. The presentation theme is “A Look Back: Photography and Early Rodeos in Klamath County.”
“We’ll be exploring what some of the earliest rodeos in Klamath looked like, using an amazing collection of photo negatives from the early 1900s,” said Katie Snow, museum registration technician. Former rodeo contestant Rod Kucera will join Snow in reviewing the photos Friday.
The museum will be open regular hours on Thursday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Hours will be extended on Friday evening, to 7 p.m.
