Dirty Pelican Bike Paddle Run Race
May 18 @ 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
The Dirty Pelican Bike Paddle Run in Klamath Falls, Oregon, is an adventure race open to three-person teams or one-person conquerors.
NEW THIS YEAR: A 5k Fun Run happening the same day at 9:15 am, designed to be fun for the whole family!
Originally, the Dirty Pelican was an informal competition between off-duty firefighters, police, nurses, 9-1-1 operators, and other agencies challenging one another on Klamath Lake and throughout Moore Park. As participation grew the race became unmanageable for the casual group.
In 2017, a couple of founding race participants asked friends from Pregnancy Hope Center to take on the event as a fundraiser and make the event accessible to more adventurers. The 2024 event is presented by Pacific Crest Federal Credit Union.
The 2024 race includes a 7 mile mountain bike ride, 1.5 mile paddle on Klamath Lake, and 3.5 mile trail run in Moore Park.
