Klamath County, Ore. – Klamath County Commissioners reduced the level of snow removal service on Crescent Cutoff Road from a grade of A to B at its meeting Tuesday. The County received news earlier this year from the State that they would have to cut services to that road given a shortfall in revenue generated from the state gas tax.
Dave Henslee expressed frustration saying, ” I’m not happy about this and I want the people who live up in that area of Klamath County to recognize that for years ODOT has provided a service and we contracted with them to provide that service and due to their budget cuts they are not going to provide that service. We didn’t have the ability to provide it before thus we did contract it out. and now we still don’t have the ability or the financial means to provide that service level A. This is our best option for this movement, I think is what I want to say to the people that live up in North Klamath County but I’m not happy about it.”
