The Flynn Creek Circus Wows Adults On Friday Night

Acrobats Klamath Falls, OR– The Circus came to town this week and while many wondered whether it was an adult show or a show for kids, the performers at the Flynn Creek Circus did not disappoint. On their premier night, the troop wowed an all-adult audience with daring acrobatics, off-color humor, and somewhat questionable choices in drink options. Early on in the show, the performers explained a butter shot with somewhat off-color ingredients and then supported their explanation with complimentary samples of vodka neatly adorned with pats of butter.

In other acts of the night, an award-winning juggler who doubles as the concession bartender awe-struck the audience dressed as a pin-tossing man-in-black. Then as promised a trio of scantily clad acrobats twirled into action high above the stage, with barely a smile to cover their death-defying twirls, all while twisting in a braided rope.

But the coup de grace was by far and away the central character.  A somewhat nerdy man donning nose sunscreen and black socks in sandals, casting off his otherwise awkward appearance in a massive show of bravery and strength to attempt to construct pina coladas for the desert-stricken crew and bemused audience. Using upper body strength reserved only for circus performers, gymnasts, and those on heavy drugs, the man climbed an aluminum pole (decorated as a palm tree) to the top using every possible configuration of hisJuggler body to scale the pole multiple times.

The humor was decidedly campy, and the evening show was every bit adult as promised, but the shows tomorrow promise to be entirely kid-safe for the 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. shows on Saturday and Sunday. However, if you want to do yourself a favor, leave the kids at home and go to the 7 p.m. showing on Saturday night. This circus can make the kids howl with delight but offers unique wonders for the adult crowd as well as beer and wine at the concessionaire stand served by a world-class juggler.
