CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon Tech left fielder Zoe Allen was named Cascade Conference Softball Player of the Week, announced by the league office.
The senior, from Hillsboro, was instrumental in the Lady Owls 6-0 week, including two wins over Simpson and a 4-game sweep at Warner Pacific.
Allen was 12-for-21 at the plate, recording two doubles, a triple and six RBI – scoring 10 runs and adding eight stolen bases. In Game 2 vs. Simpson, she tied an OIT school record with four stolen bases, while on Sunday, went a combined 7-for-7 with five RBI at WPU.
Since March 22, Allen has raised her batting average 176 points and is currently hitting .384.
The Lady Owls return home this week, hosting Carroll in a Thursday-Friday four-game series.
