As the healthcare environment continues to shift, Sky Lakes must proactively take steps to ensure the best possible patient care and experience. One of these steps is a new strategic partnership with IKS Health, an organization that works with leading healthcare organizations across the country, to reduce administrative work, optimize operations, and help clinicians focus more fully on patient care.
While necessary, this decision comes with some workforce reductions.
Approximately 70 employees will be impacted, primarily in patient financial services and coding. We understand the significant effect this will have on these employees, many of whom have been valuable members of Sky Lakes for years. Our Human Resources team is actively working to support this transition with severance packages, benefits continuation, and support for job search, including within Sky Lakes.
This decision was not made lightly. Sky Lakes must continue to leverage new technologies and best practices to better serve our community. IKS Health has 40 years of experience and has been trusted by leading healthcare organizations, including Kaiser Permanente, Scripps, and Mass General. The IKS technology platform automates and streamlines administrative, clinical, and operational processes to improve patient care, freeing clinicians to focus on patient care.
