CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon Tech second baseman Nita Cook was honored today as Cascade Conference Softball Player of the Week, announced by the league office.
The junior, from Vernonia, recorded multiple hits in each of the Lady Owls six games last week, finishing 13-for-23 at the plate with nine runs scored. Cook was 4-for-9 in a doubleheader vs. No. 1 ranked Southern Oregon, helping Tech to an upset win. She added six stolen bases on the week, improving to 29-for-29 on steal attempts in 2025.
The Lady Owls return to the diamond Tuesday, hosting Simpson at 2 p.m.
