CORVALLIS, Ore. – Three Oregon Tech players were selected as first-team members of the 2024-25 All-Cascade Conference Women’s Basketball team, as the all-star grouping was announced by the league office.

Junior Gabbie Gascon earns first-team honors for a second-straight year, Tatum Schmerbach earns All-CCC honors for a second time, while Jozie Ramos parlayed a huge season into an all-league award. In addition, Alexis Elquist was named to the honorable mention list.

Gascon was named to the team despite missing the final 11 games of the season due to injury – showcasing the dominant first half of the year by the junior. The guard was leading the CCC in assists per game (4.6) and steals per game (2.7), while averaging 12 points and five rebounds a night.

Schmerbach switched roles from a scorer to a playmaker midseason, with the sophomore averaging nearly 13 points and seven rebounds a night – with her 4.3 assists a game tops among active players in the league.

Ramos has been the catalyst for Tech, scoring in double-figures in each of the last 12 games, averaging over 20 points a night in February. The sophomore leads the team in scoring (14.1), field goal percentage (.545) and blocked shots per game (1.4).

Elquist was honored after a breakthrough senior season – posting career-highs for scoring average (8.7) and rebound average (8.4) – leading the team with six double-doubles on the year, while making 50% of her field goals in CCC play.

Southern Oregon claimed the top honors from the league – as Morgan Baird earned Player of the Year honors, Emma Schmerbach was named Defensive Player of the Year and Carlotta Kloppenburg-Pruitt earned Coach of the Year honors.

The Lady Owls will learn their NAIA Tournament opponent and destination tomorrow afternoon at 4 p.m. – with a Watch Party scheduled for the CEET Auditorium on the OIT campus.
