Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page and The Black Crowes gathered together at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles back in October 1999 for a special concert that was eventually released as a live album.

Now to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the live album, a special anniversary edition of Jimmy Page & The Black Crowes: Live at the Greek will be released on March 14. The collection features remixed and remastered recordings of the original album’s 20 songs, plus 16 previously unreleased tracks (all produced, mixed, and remastered by Kevin Shirley), and includes rare behind-the-scenes photos and more.

The original version of Live at the Greek (which was subtitled Excess All Areas) was recorded during a two-night stand The Black Crowes and Page played at the Greek Theater in Los Angeles in October 1999. The 2000 release featured only the Led Zeppelin material performed at the concerts. The reissue adds renditions of Black Crowes songs and other tunes from the shows, plus previously unheard soundcheck recordings.

Jimmy Page shared in  a statement: “I’m really looking forward to the soon to be available release of Jimmy Page & The Black Crowes material from concerts in 1999. The new mixes capture the collaboration of those historic encounters and provide the full explosive passion and exciting energy of those alchemical moments.”

Chris Robinson of the Black Crowes said: “The new Live at the Greek box set brings the whole experience of our work with Jimmy into a vibrant, electric, mystical and powerful perspective. Hail, hail rock ‘n roll!”  While Rich Robinson adds: “Going through the shows and putting together the new box set has been such an incredible dive back to that time in our history. It was a once-in-a-lifetime thrill to play these amazing iconic songs with the man who composed them. The sound of the new mixes and extra songs blew me away when I first heard them.”

The Live at the Greek reissue will be available as a six LP vinyl box set and three-CD package. The vinyl collection will feature 180-gram discs housed in individual sleeves, and will include a foldout poster. The CD set will feature the discs presented in a six-panel digipak, and also will include a poster. To pre-order, head HERE.
