CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon Tech catcher Tyler Horner was named Cascade Conference Player of the Week following the Owls four-game weekend sweep at Corban.
The senior, from Twin Falls, Idaho, finished the weekend 9-for-16 with three home runs and 12 RBI – including home runs in each of the last three games.
Horner broke three OIT all-time records on the weekend, surpassing the career hits, RBI and doubles mark. His 34 career home runs moved the 4-year starter within four long balls of the CCC/NAIA West all-time record of 38.
Tech returns to action on Friday, starting a 4-game series at Warner Pacific.
