BET Hip-Hop Awards set for October 8th in Las Vegas hosted by Fat Joe

BET announced in a press release that this year’s BET Hip Hop Awards ceremony will take place Tuesday, Oct. 8 in Las Vegas. The move will mark the first BET Hip Hop Awards in Las Vegas; the awards show debuted in 2006 and was previously held at venues in Atlanta and Miami.

The 19th annual “BET Hip Hop Awards” 2024 celebrates the best in Hip Hop from the past year across 17 categories and chosen by a prestigious voting academy of industry experts. Grammy® Award-nominated artist Fat Joe returns as host of this year’s ceremony, which will air on BET on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at 8 PM ET/PT.

Fat Joe shared: “Joe Crack is back for the 3-peat, night night baby. It’s been a dream to host the ‘BET Hip Hop Awards’ the past few years and I’m looking forward to taking things to the next level in Las Vegas. We’re going to be in a new city and location, but the excitement and entertainment at the awards will be even bigger than ever.”

BET is excited to bring ‘BET Hip Hop Awards’ to a city known for its electrifying atmosphere and rich history of awe-inspiring entertainment.”

BET EVP of specials, music programming & music strategy Connie Orlando added: “In 2023, BET paid homage to the legacy, impact, and evolution of hip hop during its golden anniversary, punctuating the year-long celebration with ‘BET Hip Hop Awards. This year, we will continue to honor the genre while pushing boundaries with fresh experiences, including an unforgettable night in Las Vegas. We’re thrilled to continue to bring fans memorable performances and surprises that will make for another epic night of hip hop.”

Megan Thee Stallion leads this year’s nominations with 12, with Kendrick Lamar earring eleven nods, Drake earring 8 nominations  Cardi B, GloRilla, Metro Boomin, and Nicki Minaj each earned seven nods, with Future and Travis Scott tied with six nods each.
