Basin Football Scoreboard 2024: Week 3

Henley football running out before a game

Here’s a quick rundown of how Basin football team fared Friday and a look at Saturday’s schedule. This page will be updated with stats and recaps later this weekend.

Summit 24, Henley 6

Henley suffered its first loss since the 2022 state quarterfinals after 5A Summit pulled away with two late touchdowns.

Bend 35, Mazama 7

Mazama scored its fewest points since 2021 in its second straight game against a 5A opponent.

South Umpqua 16, Klamath Union 7

Both teams put up season-low point totals as Klamath Union lost to one of last year’s 3A semifinalists.

Lowell 63, Bonanza 28

The defending 2A champion sent Bonanza to its first 0-3 start since 2019.

Crosspoint Christian 62, Riddle 6

Crosspoint Christian recorded the most lopsided win in program history to remain tied for first place in 1A[8] Special District 1.

Chiloquin @ Dufur, 1 p.m. Saturday

The first matchup between these teams in recorded history was originally scheduled for Thursday at Chiloquin, but a construction crew hit a water main and sewage line at the school Wednesday, forcing the game to be moved.

Lost River vs St. Paul, 2 p.m. Saturday

Lost River concludes its non-league slate with the team it beat in the 2023 1A[8] semifinals and the 2022 1A[8] championship game (St. Paul also moved up to 2A this year).

Tulelake @ Branson, 2 p.m. Saturday

Tulelake travels 360 miles south–believed to be the farthest trip in school history–to face a team that won back-to-back North Coast Section titles in 2021 and 2022.
