KCSD, KFCS to provide free school supplies for all elementary school students

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore.– The Klamath County School District and Klamath Falls City Schools will both provide all of their elementary school students with free school supplies this year.

KCSD Superintendent Glen Szymoniak said the district will purchase items students need for class and send them directly to classrooms, where they will be given to children on the first day of school.

“We ask that students come to school with a backpack so school materials can be sent home,” Szymoniak said in an email.

KCSD will not be purchasing school supplies for middle or high school students. Szymoniak said families who are unable to buy their own supplies should let their school know.

“Support will be available to families who need it,” Szymoniak said.

KFCS Superintendent Keith Brown said the district will provide all school supplies for elementary school students and that more information will be released on social media soon.
