Grants Pass woman arrested after shooting at occupied car

GRANTS PASS, OREGON — On June 30, 2024, at about 1952 hours, Grants Pass Police Officers and an OSP State Trooper responded to the 2500 block of New Hope Road for a shots fired call.  There were no reported injuries despite multiple rounds being fired at an occupied car.

Grants Pass Major Crime Unit Detectives took over the investigation of the shooting, which revolved over a civil issue between a resident at the address and one of the victims.  It was determined the suspect fired several rounds from a pistol toward the car, which was occupied by two adult persons.  The car was struck by bullets resulting in damage of over $1000.00

Detectives arrested Netacha Nance, a 34-year-old resident of Grants Pass, on two counts of Attempted Murder in the Second Degree. Additional charges of Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Menacing, Reckless Endangering, and Criminal Mischief in the First Degree will be referred to the Josephine County District’s Office.
