LL COOL J is back with his first new single in eight years, “Saturday Night Special” featuring Rick Ross and Fat Joe and produced by Q-Tip of A Tribe Called Quest. LL wrote on his socials: “Saturday Night Special now available. Video out now on YouTube. Streaming everywhere.”
The official music video for Saturday Night Special was shot in Miami by JakeTheShooter with creative direction from HiHat. Named after the revolver, “Saturday Night Special” serves as the first single from LL COOL J’s forthcoming 14th studio album The FORCE (Frequencies of Real Creative Energy), slated to arrive this fall in celebration of Def Jam Recordings’ 40th anniversary.
LL said in a statement: “‘Saturday Night Special’ is just the beginning. There’s a lot more where this came from, and I’m hype for y’all to hear this new record. We’re doing this for the fans and for Hip-Hop culture.”
