Travis Scott arrested on disorderly intoxication and trespassing charges

Travis Scott was arrested early Thursday on charges of disorderly intoxication and trespassing. According to Miami-Dade County corrections records, Scott, 33, was booked into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center around 4:30 a.m. local time under his government name, Jacques Bermon Webster, and submitted $500 and $150 bonds for the trespassing and disorderly intoxication charges.  Scott’s arrest comes just eight days before he’s set to start his European tour, Circus Maximus, in The Netherlands next Friday.

According to PEOPLE, Scott was arrested after police were called to the Miami Beach Marina early Thursday on a report of a disturbance on a yacht at around 1:44 a.m, according to a Miami Beach Police arrest affidavit. A person had called dispatch saying people were fighting on the vessel, and found Scott “yelling at the vessel occupants …the defendant was asked by officers to sit down, at which point [he] temporarily sat down and then began continuously standing back up, disregarding officers’ commands. Throughout the interaction, officers on scene could sense a strong smell of alcohol coming from the defendants’ breath.”

While the complainant did not want to press charges, they did request Scott leave the vessel. Scott was then told to leave the dock or he would be arrested. Police wrote in their affidavit that “throughout the long walk from the vessel to the boardwalk, [Scott] walked backwards, yelling obscenities to the occupants of the vessel.” Scott then left the premises, but returned “approximately 5 minutes later, disregarding officers’ commands not to go. [Scott] began yelling once again, becoming erratic, disturbing the peace of the occupants of the marina and nearby residential buildings, causing a public disturbance.” He was then arrested and transported to the Miami Beach Police Department.

A source familiar with the situation tells Entertainment Weekly there was no physical altercation with anyone, adding that “Travis was already bailed out for a few hundred dollars. He is already home. There will be no further action to be taken as it was a minor incident akin to receiving a ticket with no injuries.”

On Thursday, Scott shared a photo of his mugshot edited with sunglasses and headphones on, on his Instagram story. The rapper shares two children with ex-girlfriend Kylie Jenner: Stormi, 6, and Aire, 2.
