Amazon bought land near Kingsley Field, public records show

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. — Public records show that Amazon finalized the purchase of a parcel of land in the Klamath Falls Industrial Park west of Kingsley Field May 22.

The 7.38-acre parcel was purchased directly from the city for $562,577.40.

Klamath Falls City Manager Jonathan Teichert said he could confirm that a piece of city property had recently been sold, but due to a non-disclosure agreement he was “unable to provide specific details about the purchaser, or their intent, at this time.”

“I understand the public’s interest in this and am looking forward to sharing more information as soon as able to do so,” Teichert said. “I am confident that this recent transaction will contribute positively to our city’s growth and development.”

Amazon has a headquarters in Seattle and is currently building a five-story, 3.8-million-square-foot warehouse in Woodburn.

The deed to the parcel can be found here.

The survey map of the parcel can be found here.
