Primary Election Results

Klamath Falls, Ore. – The results are in from yesterday’s primary election and as of midnight last night, Derrick DeGroot will retain his Klamath County Commissioner #3 position, DeGroot received 54% of the vote. Diane Linthicum edged Dave Henslee for the Oregon Senate District 28 position. The 911 tax levy passed by less than 200 votes, the Rocky Point Fire and EMS tax measure was voted down and in the Sheriff race, Shane Mitchell had a wide lead with second place being a tight race between Ryan Kaber and Bryan Bryson. At this point, Shane Mitchell and Bryan Bryson will face off for the Sheriff’s position in the fall. Klamath County Position 1 has Andrew Nichols and Rejeana Jackson getting the top two spots and they will face each other in the general election in November.
