Embry-Riddle gave up just one hit in the game against St. Thomas but the Eagles were eliminated from the NAIA Softball Opening Round as the Bobcats won the game 1-0.
ERAU left seven runners on base throughout the game but the Eagles couldn’t push a run across. Kate Delaney (Fort Collins, Colo.) led ERAU with two hits and Autumn Sulusi (Kaneohe, Hawaii) had one.
In the circle for Embry-Riddle, Vanessa Brink (Vail, Ariz.) pitched five innings giving up just one hit and striking out five. Claire Streeter pitched one inning and didn’t give up a hit.
ERAU will be back in action next spring in a new conference but will look to repeat as conference champions once again.
