OLYMPIA, Wash. – Oregon Tech connected on a season-high 64-percent of their field goal attempts, helping the Hustlin’ Owls roll past Evergreen State, 91-62, inside Constantino Recreation Center.
The Owls (8-2, 3-1 CCC) never trailed in the contest, improving to 5-0 on the road this season in completing a weekend road sweep in Washington.
Every OIT player in uniform saw at least eight minutes of playing time, with five players scoring in double-figures, while the Owls finished with a commanding 41-20 rebound margin.
Erik Fraser scored the first seven points of the game and Kam Osborn added eight more in a 29-7 run over the first eight minutes of the game. The Owls lead never fell below 13 points the rest of the night.
Fraser, Keegan Shivers and Kody Bauman all scored 11 in the win, with Osborn and Blake Jensen each tallying 10. Logan Thebiay had career-bests with nine points and seven rebounds, Grant Tull added seven points, with Jackson Cooper recording a team-best eight rebounds. Jamison Guerra was the lone OIT player not to score, but added a career-high 12 assists.
Deondre Russ led the Geoducks (1-9, 0-5) with 12 points.
Wednesday, the Hustlin’ Owls make the short drive to Ashland for a match-up against first-place Southern Oregon at 7:30 p.m.
