Klamath Falls, Ore. – If you missed it Tuesday, The Klamath County Board of Commissioners declared Tuesday, December 12th, as Lost River Football Day across Klamath County. The team attended the Klamath County Business Meeting and was presented with a plaque that Commissioner Minty read and Commissioner DeGroot presented to the team.
In acceptance, the Coach, Dennis Dunlea, pointed out how special these boys are, having grown up in the Pandemic and played in Klamath County saying, “The seniors entered high school in the middle of COVID. They get to play football in the wintertime. And through those things, they can continue to be good students and good athletes to work, (and) persevere, I think life skills. We talked about that all the time, how football translates to life. I think these guys certainly are off to a great start.”
