Corvallis, Ore – Jordan Pope and Tyler Bilodeau each hit a pair of free throws late to allow Oregon State to beat Utah Valley 74-71 on Saturday.
The Wolverines held the lead for the majority of the first half and into the second half until a Michael Rataj triple put Oregon State in front 46-44. The squads would trade leads three more times before the conclusion.
Tyler Bilodeau led the Beavers in scoring with 19 points and Rataj added 17 while Jordan Pope scored 11 in the winning effort. For Utah Valley, Caleb Stone-Carrawell led the book with 19 points. The Wolverines got 17 points from Tanner Toolson and 12 from Kmani Doughty.
Oregon State has improved to 6-3 on the season, sporting an unblemished 6-0 record at Gill Collesium in the early going. They’ll defend home court again on Sunday when they welcome the Roadrunners from the University of Texas San Antonio.
