KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – Five Oregon Tech players scored in double-figures, as the Lady Owls had their most prolific offensive outburst in four seasons, running their season-opening win streak to seven with a 101-66 victory over College of Idaho at Danny Miles Court.

OIT (7-0, 2-0 CCC) made nearly 60-percent of their field goal chances – including 14-of-16 shots in the fourth quarter – recording the 15th 100-point scoring game in program history and first since the 2019-20 season.

Gabbie Gascon led Tech with 14 points – scoring the first seven points of the afternoon for the Lady Owls, as the host ran out to a 15-5 first quarter lead. OIT broke the game wide open in the second quarter, as consecutive Alexis Elquist jumpers, a Kayley Elliott 3-point play and a Kendall Fealey fastbreak bucket capped a 16-1 run, grabbing a 37-16 lead.

Eight different players scored in the big fourth quarter in a season-high 35-point period, as Kaitlyn Wright, Fealey and Elliott all canned triples in an 18-2 outburst that ballooned the margin to 86-48. Elli Kent closed the night with a driving lay-up, sending Tech over the century mark for the first time since a 105-65 home win over Multnomah, Feb. 20, 2020.

Kent scored a career-high 13 points, Elquist scored 11, with Olivia Sprague flirting with a triple-double – posting 11 points with seven rebounds and seven assists. Kennedy Tull scored 10, with Wright and Fealey each scoring a season-high nine.

OIT used a 43-29 rebound edge in the most-lopsided win in the series with the Yotes (0-8, 0-2). The Owls had a 52-16 margin in points in the paint and outscored C of I, 23-2, in fast break points.

C of I got a career-high 19 points from Anna Mooney, but the Yotes finished the day making just 30-percent of their field goal chances.

Tech steps away from league play next Friday, traveling to Division III Willamette, before closing out their non-conference schedule next Saturday with an exhibition game at Division II Western Oregon.
