Partly Cloudy Skies Saturday May Allow for Eclipse Viewing

Klamath Falls, Ore. – The weather for Saturday may just allow us to see the eclipse after all. The morning weather forecast is predicting increasing clouds throughout the day on Saturday, but at 9:00 a.m. cloud cover is expected to be at 23% at the start of the eclipse and at the finish at 23% when it completes so that means we have a better than 75% chance of seeing the ring of fire.

The timing of the eclipse will begin with a partial eclipse at  8:06 a.m. Pacific time with the Ring of Fire commencing at 9:16 a.m. It will reach its maximum effect at 9:18 a.m. and finish at 9:20 a.m. And the whole eclipse ends at 10:39 a.m.

So if you haven’t gotten your eclipse glasses yet, you need to skedaddle to do so as we might just see this thing after all. Free eclipse glasses are available at Discover Klamath, 205 Riverside Drive, Klamath Falls.
