Splash Pad Helps Area Residents Cool Down in Heat

It was a hot one today in Klamath Falls and there’s more on the way tomorrow. The National Weather Service issued a red flag warning out for Klamath Falls for tomorrow afternoon, but residents found ways to beat the heat today.  Klamath Falls resident Olivia Nelson watched as her grandkids  at the splash pad downtown today. She says they were hot and needed to cool off and  just wouldn’t take no for an answer, “All Day they have been bugging me,” she said on Monday. Nelson admits the kids are  taking full advantage of the weather given that they be heading back to school soon saying, “I guess they miss their friends, but other than that their not ready to go back yet. They want to go swimming and go camping more.” Hot weather is expected to continue through Wednesday with a chance of thunderstorms each day. A cool down is expected by the weekend according to the National Weather Service with temperatures in the Mid 80s by Sunday.
