One person died and two others were injured in a weekend crash on Highway 97. Oregon State Police responded to the crash just after 1am on Saturday near milepost 264 in Klamath County. A black Chevy Tahoe was northbound on the highway when it crossed into the southbound lane and hit a Freightliner Tanker. Ivan Hood, of Chiloquin, the driver of the Tahoe died at the scene. The driver of the tanker, Zachary Kerley, of Winter Haven Florida, and his passenger Terry Kerley of Bakersfield, California were injured and taken to a local hospital. The roadway was impacted for about 2 hours while police investigated the scene.
