Salem, Ore. – Visitors wanting to camp last minute along the Oregon Coast can now make same-day online reservations. The new option is part of a pilot program from Oregon State Parks. The coast is the busiest region in the Oregon State Parks system, according to a news release, with an estimated 1.9 million camper nights reserved every year across 17 available campgrounds. Oregon Parks and Recreation Department is also waiving the 8 dollar registration fee for all same day reservations at the coast during the pilot program.
