Case Against Klamath Falls Shooter Dismissed

Klamath Falls, Ore. – The case against a 29-year old man captured on surveillance video discharging a gun toward another man he had reportedly been arguing with has been dismissed. The shooting near a bus stop at 7th & Pine Streets in Klamath Falls on May 17th triggered a temporary lockdown of government buildings while law enforcement searched for the shooter. The suspect was eventually tracked to Daggett Avenue with the aid of surveillance video and arrested a couple days later. He was placed in custody and charged with reckless discharge of a firearm.

Klamath County Circuit Court confirmed for mybasin.com that the case against the defendant was dismissed after the District Attorney presented the evidence to a Grand Jury which returned a determination of “Not a True Bill,” generally meaning they found the evidence to prosecute was insufficient.
