KLAMATH FALLS, Oregon – Oregon Tech softball head coach Greg Stewart announced that Aubrie Businger, a 2019 Coast First Team All-Conference infielder from the College of San Mateo, has signed a letter of intent to play for Oregon Tech in 2020.
Businger, a shortstop/3rd base transfer from Mills, California joins the Hustlin’ Owls after a tremendous two-year career with the Bulldogs, which was capped by helping her team advance to the California JUCO State Semi-Finals in 2019. As a freshman, Aubrie posted a .423 average with a .510 on-base%, scoring 43 runs with 28 RBI’s. In 47 games as a sophomore, she hit .354 with 6 HR’s, 3 triples, 33 RBI’s, 56 runs scored, and 25 stolen bases.
“Aubrie is going to be a fantastic addition to our team this year,” said softball head coach Greg Stewart. “She is very athletic and has all the tools and experience to make an immediate impact. She is a very good hitter with power, great speed on the bases, and is outstanding defensively with a plus arm.”
Aubrie is the daughter of Greg and Jill Businger, and plans to major in Communications at Oregon Tech.
